Danny’s practice focuses on civil defense litigation in the areas of professional liability, nursing home liability, employment practices, premises liability, clergy malpractice or misconduct, insurance fraud, bad faith, and other cases involving general liability insurance. Danny always tries to establish early if a case should be tried or resolved, and; if the circumstances call, enjoys trying all types of cases. Danny has tried more than thirty jury trials. Danny has had the opportunity to go to trial on many high exposure cases including wrongful death claims in Bullock, Covington, Etowah, Hale, Jackson, Mobile and Walker Counties. Danny recently defended a retailer in a Fair Standards Labor Act collective action involving 265 plaintiffs.
Danny feels that he has enjoyed success practicing law due to his strong work ethic and desire to provide an aggressive defense always keeping his client’s best interest at the forefront. Danny stays personally involved in every case in the firm.
Danny is a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama State Bar Association and Louisiana State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer Association and the Alabama Nursing Home Defense Litigation Association.
Danny grew up in Decatur, Alabama. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Spring Hill College in 1987, he attended the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Danny served as Senior Editor on the Alabama Law Review. Danny received his Juris Doctorate in 1990.
Danny and his wife Dana have three daughters. Their family attends St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In his spare time, Danny has coached various little league sports teams and attends his daughters’ cheerleading events.
